THE DL: Bellhop Ted (Tim Roth) is working on New Year’s Eve at Mon Signor Hotel, a run-down hotel that’s seen better times, but it doesn’t stop goofy Ted from being determined to give the best service to his clients. The night doesn’t go very well, as he’s thrown into chaotic comedic situations, featuring Madonna, Antonio Banderas, Bruce Willis and one of the four directors of this four-chaptered knee-slapping movie, Quentin Tarantino.
RESIDENT BAMF: Antonio Banderas is the strict father of two naughty children in the third segment of the movie, aptly named “The Misbehavers.” Banderas–playing an unnamed character–shows his mean, ugly side when he threatens twitchy and bitchy Ted into inconveniently babysitting his two little no-gooders.
WHAT A QT! (CLASSIC QUENTIN MOMENT): In the segment Tarantino directs called “The Man from Hollywood,” Ted is called into the penthouse, where a famous director, Chester Rush (surprise, surprise, Quentin Tarantino) requests him to cut off a man’s pinky, if said man were to fail his bet of lighting his Zippo cigarette lighter ten times in a row. Ted reluctantly agrees after a monetary bribe and anticipates the fate of Rush’s daring friend, Norman (Paul Calderon).
PLAY THAT FUNKY MUSIC:Vertigogo,” composed by Combustible Edison, is the catchy, toe-tapping opening credits song to this slapstick comedy.
NOTABLE QUOTABLE:

I am coming up there right this minute! And if there isn’t a dead body in that room by the time I get up there, I’m going to make one! You… [hangs up] little bitch.

– Bellhop Ted to the bothersome Sarah, who called him about a dead body underneath her bed
